“Audaces Fortuna Iuvat”
A Latin saying that means, Fortune favors the bold.
Your victory has defeated you. Your success has betrayed you. You have gotten comfortable and complacent. That hunger that you had before that drove you has dwindled. Your appetite has been ruined by the scrapes that you have settled for. Instead of feasting on steak and lobster you eat whats off the dollar menu. You deserve more however, you are afraid to lose what you already have.
Everything that you desire in life; job, house, car, spouse, vacations, everything is within your grasp but ONLY if you are BOLD enough to go for it! When people have nothing to lose being bold is all they know. Its either do this or starve. Yet when people make it out of those situations and have amassed a little storehouse of food they become afraid to move as boldly as they have in the pass for fear of jeopardizing their little storehouse of food.
Your victory has defeated you. Your success has betrayed you. You have gotten comfortable and complacent. That hunger that you had before that drove you has dwindled.
What is the solution to this conundrum? The situations that lead to the boldness of your character and has allowed you to have success has now changed. As a result, your boldness that helped you attain your success has been tempered. The solution be bold with your boldness. The trait that allowed you to elevate from your initial circumstances, will be necessary for you to elevate to the next level. Your continued advancement will not come independent of boldness.
When Ray Lewis, future Hall of Fame Linebacker came into the league it was boldness that got him there. He was bold enough to fight at home, he was bold enough to fight on the field, he was bold enough to fight in the recruiting office. He had been bold throughout his life and when it came to his rookie season in the NFL, when most would be satisfied
being drafted in the first round, he continued to be bold. The team had a talented veteran set to start at middle linebacker and the team wanted to get the talented Ray Lewis on the field as well as an outside linebacker. Ray Lewis declared that he is a middle linebacker not an outside linebacker. The team then cut the veteran and handed over the keys to the defense to a rookie Ray Lewis, who many thought to be too slow or too small to play. His boldness eventually led to one of the best defenses in the history of the NFL.
There are plenty of examples of lack of boldness in our ordinary everyday lives. Not approaching your crush, not following your passion, not speaking your mind are all ways that this can manifests in our lives. So you have a choice…
You can either be ordinary or BE BOLD!
